Taunted by an MRT train...
Have you ever been taunted by an MRT train before? It's happened to me more than a few times already. It only happens at interchange stations. When the inter-connecting train you want to catch is there with it's doors open but just as your train reaches, the doors are closing, so it's a mad dash which you know you won't be able to make. Or the train waits for you but due to the train being immensely crowded, you can't get in unless you intend to body surf your way into the carriage.

Underpopulation my foot. Imagine when we hit 6.5 million. The only way we'll be getting round is by body surfing.

K.I.S.S: Keep It Simple, Stupid!
It's a very good saying, well except maybe the stupid part, it's a bit harsh. But then without the stupid, the acronymn makes no sense. Anyway, I've been trying to follow the whole thing about taxi fares recently and.. it's awfully confusing. I think it shouldn't be so complicated because there's going to be a lot of confusion from taxi drivers, passengers, tourists etc. Extra surcharges, special prices at different locations. And if one letter in the newspaper is to be believed, the fallout has started already. A taxi driver had to chase down one passenger who refused to pay because he thought he was being cheated. I'm sure the brain trust that is the ministry of transport is calling this birthing pains and what not somewhere in their meeting rooms. And like the ERP hike for the CTE, there will probably be a slight improvement (albeit temporary) which will justify the change. But like the first diagnosis and treatment on an episode of House M.D, it will turn out to not work.
All we need now is a man with a cane.

"I am Beowulf...
And my name is set to become badly mutilated and made fun of when my feature film hits the cinemas."
Some names just don't translate so well. I mean this isn't the first case. Anyone else giggled/chuckled when Star Wars Episode One came out and one of the planets was named Naboo? Seriously, the general beng and lian population aside, I bet the rest of the population was laughing as well.
Language sure is a funny thing.
Anyway TV viewing is going to become kinda slow with slim pickings soon due to the WGA (Writers Guild of America) being on strike. Good time to get a new game for the PS3.

MM Lee is a superhero!
Well according to this article anyway. http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1130820. Just read it off Mr Brown's blog.
Anyway the interesting quote is this:
“Congestion taxes on vehicles plying on busy roads are a routine course of action in Singapore. The maximum time to reach any corner of Singapore is 20 minutes as traffic is not allowed to flood the roads,” MM "Flash/Superman" Lee
As all drivers will know, this is in fact not possible, even if you break all the speed limits, ignore all traffic lights etc, because traffic is a pain. Not to mention that they reduced the speed limit on ECP to 70.
Ergo: MM Lee has superpowers. Either the ability to move super fast, or the ability to blow cow.
