Went fish shopping!
Went to the fish shop today. Bought some filter material and fish food.. then bought 5 gars!! but cannot mix with the big chief now cause the big chief is almost 2 feet and the new guys are at most 2 inches.. have to put them with the angel fish and fatten them up first.. probably another 4-6 mths before they can go to the big tank. Bought 4 dollars worth of baby catfish too to feed them.. haha.. was watching them eat just now.. its like a smorgasboard to them..

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life
Well not so much.. but more the third day of the holidays that end next year.. haha.. but sounds way cooler that way.. The weekend was quite good.. a sort of slowing down and getting back to the normalacy of life. The facts that I have absorbed this semester are slowly fading away into the background.
Yesterday was quite a good day. Worship was good for both 10am and YAG. Message was abit redudant cause the guy was saying stuff that was quite common sense.. which led to mark seow and I being distracted (yes he was sitting next to me) and Edwin "not sleeping" hahaha..
After that had group time which was like the first time in ages.. felt good.. good that all the members are starting to open up to each other more and just talking. Bonds are being built. Always a good thing.
After that had to wait for June to end choir before we could go to the cinema to watch "The Incredibles". So we played bridge first then later Hearts.. and all the while Marnchi was trying to study beside us.. haha.. all the best for your last paper today man.. heh
Hearts is an interesting game. I never thought much of it except its harder than Bridge and the book by Stephen King which roughly revolves about the game and lives of the people who were affected by the game..
After that most of them performed the "how many ppl can squeeze into a car " trick.. not all could though.. ended up a few of them had to take train.. sorry guys..
Had dinner at Long John's .. where I sat opposite 3 vultures who proceeded to massacre my food after I didn't want the fries.. then one vulture (Nicky) took a knife to prevent another vulture (Mark Cai) from taking.. haha..
The movie was fun.. it was basically a amalgam of all the superhero movies that have been made, comics and family comedies.. good stuff.. haha..

4 down. 1 more to go..
Been a long time since I updated this blog cause I've been in exam prep mode.. haha.. anyway lots of things have happened since the last blog.. most noticeably... the attempt to see how many comments one can post on 1 blog.. haha. .anyhoo
Something that I have observed having been in NUS for almost 3 years now.. and that is the modules we are made to do every semester is getting very similar just that we are able to absorb less and less cause its getting harder.. therefore I conclude that by the last semester of year 4, I will probably submit a blank script with just my matric no or not even that cause I might not even remember my matric no.. haha
Oh yet another side note, its thanksgiving.. a holiday we don't celebrate cause we didn't have pilgrims having dinner with native americans.. haha.. anyway here's a question to the ppl who read this blog.. do you think turkeys are available (eg on sale) all year round? I had this discussion/debate/argument with freakier tan before. Freakier tan says they only come out this time of the year to which I say that's nuts.. you mean they hide underground? hahaha.. So what say you?

I am Legend
Just finished the book that Michelle lent me.. Cool book. I recommend those who haven't read it to read it. And its quite a short book too.. 100+ pages.. can finish in 1 sitting. Won't spoil the story but given that it was written in the 1950s, its a landmark story.

My Happy Ending - Avril Lavinge
So much for my happy ending
So much for my happy ending
oh oh, oh oh, oh oh...
Let's talk this over It's not like we're dead
Was it something I did? Was it something you said?
Don't leave me hangin'In a city so dead
Held up so high On such a breakable thread
You were all the things I thought I knew And I thought we could be

Chorus:
You were everything, everything that I wanted
We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it
And all of our memories, so close to me, just fade away
All this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending
So much for my happy ending

You've got your dumb friends I know what they say
They tell you I'm difficult But so are they
But they don't know me Do they even know you?
All the things you hide from me All the shit that you do
You were all the things I thought I knew And I thought we could be

Bridge:
It's nice to know that you were there
Thanks for acting like you cared
And making me feel like I was the only one
It's nice to know we had it all
Thanks for watching as I fall And letting me know we were done

The Death of Originality
I'm sure most people would have heard of the book "The Da Vinci Code". Personally I've not read it. Heard lots about it. Anyway was at MPH yesterday and saw this book called "The Messiah Code" Oh my.. so much originality.. Everyone's getting on the bandwagon of doing something similar to what works hoping that people will be dumb enough to get more of the same thing.. haha..
Anyway exams are round the corner, revision status almost non-existent.. great time to be me.

In a shock development, Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, came out of nowhere to snatch victory from the two US presidential candidates, Bush and Kerry. Prime won the US presidential race with 500 Electoral College votes from the swing state of Cybertron.
