The second hardest thing compared to the entry interview is
the exit interview. The exit interview was conducted by one of the people who interviewed me for my entry interview. The usual questions were asked: why do you want to leave, where are you going to next. Then came the trickier questions like : where do you see yourself 5 years in the future, would you quit your next job if it didnt work out, are you going to end up quitting 3 jobs in 5 years. Anyway it's over and I'm out of here in 3 days.
In other job related news, the company announced it's 2nd quarter performance yesterday and it wasn't good. How not good was it? It was so bad that no one is getting a bonus this quarter. Everyone is getting the proverbial hole in the donuts. So basically everyone gets the same amount of bonus as me this quarter. All in all, a real good time to leave the company. Thankfully I didn't stay longer to hold out for the bonus which evidently is non-existent now.

We do what why.. huh?
Wedding ceremonies confuse me at times. And one of the most confusing is the tea ceremony. Had one today and it was one of those things where people wanted it because they were supposed to have it, but they didn't really know how to go about doing it. So there we were, people deciding on who to go up first, where to sit etc etc.
Also this has to be the first event I've attended where the adults got reprimanded for being too noisy, whereas the younger generation (my peers) were not scolded. This is because some of the adults were talking quite loudly during the ceremony, and they got this "look" from my aunt. Quite hilarious. Anyway got to get ready for the dinner soon, man I'm exhausted.

If the Transformers Movie used this theme in like the intro or the ending credits...
Then the show would have rocked.. even more..

Coming full circle..
Today felt like the completion of some journey of sorts. Had official farewell lunch with my team at this Thai Restaurant at Yishun. Was a farewell for me and 2 other colleagues. The weird thing was that the restaurant was opposite my old army camp at Chong Pang. And guess what, some of my old camp mates were having a department lunch there as well. Met my old boss who got promoted to captain (congrats) and a couple of other people who used to be from the MT line. 2 of my ex bosses (current boss going to be ex soon) in the same place. It's like 2 chapters in my life meeting. And also work is starting to slow down, becoming like how it was during my first 2 months again.
Well the next few months are going to be quite interesting, can hardly wait.

Freedom in 24 days!!!
Rejoice with me people. I'm free in 24 days. I would add one of those countdown thingys if I could be bothered to still the code.. but oh well.. Been sort of enjoying life hence not much updates. Got me a PS3, Ovation guitar and Large screen TV. I need not leave the house for a good 2 months. :D
Managed to catch Transformers and Nancy Drew on Saturday and all it cost me was 5 dollars in total. How did I achieve this amazing feat? With help from my friends of course.. or rather one friend.. actually one friend's sister who has this cool card that allows 2 free ticket per screening of any show. Why am I then not a friend to this friend's sister and just this friend? That is a good question for a post in the future..
Anyway Transformers to me was a homage to the original tv series and the animated movie. Lots of stuff thrown in for the fans to just lap up. E.g Bumblebee being next to a volkswagon beetle (his original form). Starscream running away from a fight. Kinda disappointed with the way Megatron looked cause, I think the 2 mainstays should look like that cartoon counterpart as much as possible. Prime was.. prime.. and Megatron was not so much like Megatron.. more like another character from the comic called Thunderwing who coincidentally also transformed into an alien jet.
Nancy Drew is a feel good, Disney type movie with no emo scenes at all. It's like Mean Girls but tone down on the mean and stuff.
Here's to the next few months.
