He's coming over next week and I need ppl who are fans but dun have stuff that they want signed so they can come with me to get my whole collection signed!! cause each person is limited to 3 books.. and I have like.. at least 15..

Pain in the lower back
Feeling the after effects of trench digging from yesterday. Lower back feels like someone did a dance on it.. someone really big and heavy. Can't really bend and stuff. Man I need to train up now. If it affects me so much after 1 morning, how to survive 3 days of digging? This is why I PES E lor.. hahaha..Ouch.. lower back..

St John's Island trip
Just ended a 3 day camp at St John's island. Fun but tiring.. First time we had such good food on an island trip. Haha.. super welfare one.. unlike the time Jonathan and I planned.. haha.. But after that island trip, I need another holiday to unwind.. haha.. maybe after China? hmm..

Vietnam Trip 3rd day

Almost a week since the trip. 3rd day was relaxing. Went to the school for the blind for a body massage. They're really good.. and its a useful skill that can help them earn a living. An eye-opening experience. We went to Omni Hotel for dim sum.. really good stuff.. Been a long while since I've had good dim sum. Following which Esther, Daryl and I went to the Sedona Suites club to watch vcd, play pool, darts and mahjong.. For dinner we went to this claypot place where they burn the bottom layer of the rice to a crisp and then break the pot and throw the rice to the waiter who will serve you. Basically its dinner and a show. Very interesting. After that we went back to the house to just relax and chat.

Last Day:
Last day was quiet also. We woke up later, ate a bit, before we went to a cafe for lunch. Came back to watch Scooby Doo 2 the movie on HBO then we left for the airport. Short while later we came back home!
But then we would have to rush off to Tampines Mall to catch Batman Begins!!!
After the movie, rushed off to church for camp meeting.. That was a very long and tiring day indeed..

Vietnam Day 2
Carrying on the journal of my recent Vietnam trip. Day 2.. oh yah we went to Cu Chi Tunnel. Its the place where the VietCong fought America (whom they refer to as american pigs or something to that effect, hey if u win America in a war, you can pretty much call them anything you want. ) See how the VietCong fought and won America using underground tunnels similar to that of an ant's nest.. very cool.. got to crawl inside the small tunnel too.. Vietnamese soldiers were really small.. and it isn't a stereotype.. given the dimensions of the tunnel..
After that being all sweaty and caked in mud, we met auntie nancy and esther for lunch at singh cafe.. ah.. pho bo and.. strawberry milkshake.. roxor!!
After that we went to a salon for face wash and massage.. haha.. clean off all the muck.. there was an incident with me giving the wrong tip initially but that was rectified by me giving her the correct tip later.. sigh.. tipping is hard.. especially when you are converting the value from another currency to your own currency.
After that went to a crab speciality restaurant where we treated the whole Ng family to dinner for putting us up and putting up with us. After that..went for reflexology.. haha.. interesting experience.. Came back, showered then we played scrabble.. man that was a weird game. Daryl won Auntie Nancy.. yes.. pigs can fly.. And that was the second day.. Oh yeah.. Daryl kicks, snores and talks in his sleep..

Vietnam Trip
Left Singapore on the 19th of June. Was Father's Day too. Airport was quite uneventful. I realised I packed the largest luggage so I had to check in my luggage but the rest decided to check their luggage in too since they had to wait for mine later.. so oh well.. haha..
We grabbed a bite of Subway sandwich before we left. Flight was good.. despite all the joking we made abt budget airlines.. haha.. but quite odd that u had to pay for the food and drinks if u wanted to eat or drink anything. Also there's constant advertising of products that could be bought on the plane (something that isn't really done on the major carriers )
Another thing is how they mention at the end of the flight abt how punctual Tiger Airways always is and how its the lowest fares and how u can find out more from the website.
Anyway customs was interesting.. haha.. I was asked by the custom lady where I would be staying (cause I left it blank on the form) so I said friend's house.. so she asks where.. so I said I don't know.. which is true.. then she looks up and says to me "call him".. haha.. then I panic when I realise she isn't joking.. thankfully Uncle Geok Chye showed up and told me to say Amara Hotel.. so yeah.. that got me cleared.. Man they're paranoid over there..
After that we went to the house to keep the luggages then we went out to the market to shop and eat... ah. Pho bo.. that's the stuff.. Beef Noodles. Its good.. u all must try itl
Went to a coffee joint (kinda like Starbucks) to wait .. saw a vietnamese wedding.. Jocelyn once again made inflammatory remarks abt stuff .. first incident was back in Singapore.. tsk tsk tsk...
Dinner that night at Windsor Hotel. Best Buffet Ever!! Has everything.. literally. for 19 singapore dollars..
And that was the first day.. :)

I'm back from Vietnam!
Ah... its been a great 4 days. Just amazing. Food is good and cheap. Sights are interesting. Massages are cheap... People are nice. Weather was crazy.. haha. Will update more on this later. Just came back today and its been 1 thing after another. Arrived at 5-ish Singapore time. Then rushed to Tampines Mall to catch Batman Begins with CG ppl (Thanks for organising June) Movie ended at 830. Rushed to church for island trip meeting which ended at 10 and here I am.. drained, beaten but oddly contented.. for now.

Last Blog for the next 4 days!
Hi all.. will be flying off to Vietnam in a few hours. It's been an interesting day. Packed luggage, bought some stuff, cleaned fish tank so I can finally see the other side of the tank for once.. ah.. Had dinner with cell at Chai Chee Bah Chor Mee (near Martin and my place cause bible study was held at Martin's house). Had to explain to June what Bah Chor Mee was.. although I thought it was common knowledge.. then I realised.. oh.. wrong dialect group.. haha.. she gave a valiant attempt to understand it.. (which she'll probably write abt on her blog) Anyway she thought Bah was minced.. haha.. so I said no.. Bah is pork or more generally meat.. so I gave her an example *pointing to June* "June is bah bah.. ".. hahahaha.. man that got me one hard whack.. Some people ah.. naturally violent.. walk short distance also complain.. tsk tsk
Then after dinner went to Martin's house for Bible Study. Nearly full group today.. haha. Was good. Talked about patience in our walk .. patience with faith produces hope. Talked about the foundation and assurance of salvation also.
During dinner we also talked abt the upcoming paintball event.. ah.. managed to find 2 more ppl to play. June and Daryl. haha.. June will be given special treatment in lieu of the fact that she will be flying off on that day itself.. haha.. 21 gun salute..
Ah.. Summer.. the days are just packed.

Mr and Mrs Smith!
This belong to a very rare genre of movies called Action Romantic Comedy. And quite balanced out so it doesn't become too much of one aspect. I don't care what Freakier Tan says, Angelina and Brad Pitt look quite glam together what.. haha.. As a on-screen movie couple though.
Anyway cursed Ez-link card died on me on the way home after supper.. Dunno why. Have to get it checked out tomorrow. Meeting Lyndon for dinner. Oh well the card has served me well for 3 years plus. Maybe it just expired.. Oh well..

Salsa and chips man.. what I wouldn't give for a good salsa to go with chips. Searching online for different recipes.. anyone got any recommendations that they've tried before? Lip smacking salsa-licious goodness.. ah..

Baskin Robbins!
Hey I know this is a long shot, but anyone know if there's anymore Baskin Robbins in Singapore? I just suddenly have a craving for this.. sigh.. miss the chocolate chip ice-cream that I used to eat every saturday afternoon.. ah.. to be able to go back in time..

My day in reverse!
Seinfeld did it so I shall do it too..
1) Blogging (somewhere michelle's head is exploding at the mention of this word) hahaha
2) Dad telling me that he bought lots of dvds from Vietnam. All terrible shows.. as in nothing really strikes me as worth watching except Sahara..
3) Sending Andy and June back home from Clementi
4) Eating dinner with the Ongs (after the birthday part. Help to finish the food. Very very good food. Seriously. The pasta and swedish meatballs which they cooked is the same as the Ikea one.(Michelle's head explodes again)
5) Playing balloon volley ball with andy, chermaine, cheri, cherlyn and june.
6) Whacking pinata and eating birthday cake
7) Playing taboo and eating cake.
8) Eating tea which was also my lunch (more pasta, pizza, bread and carrot sticks and other salad/veggie base stuff)
9)Bible study on Hebrews! (Lionel joined us! coolness.. another sign of the end... heh)
10) Played for YAG (tiring)
11) Played for Second service (tiring also) Too many songs, too little time and too little sleep.
12) Woke up

Lend me your ears!
I have theories now and then. Sometimes its the result of just sitting and watching tv for too long.. and sometimes its due to intelligent thought processes taking place. Anyway u decide which category this goes under.
I present to you .. "The theory of time!" (eh needs a cooler name.. you all think of one then tell me.. I change)

Hypothesis: The theory goes like this: If ever someone calls, msgs, e-mals, sms you (as in singular, not a group thing) at night.. around 11pm to 7am, its a bad thing. Seriously. It's going to be like asking some last minute favour and the favour gets bigger as the night becomes morning. So from 11am to 12mn.. probably on bad scale of 1 to10 will be.. 3.. no biggie. Then 12 to 2am.. 5-6.. 2 to 7.. is like 8.. The kind which will probably mean you don't have to sleep already.. but serves you right for not sleeping before 2 and being succeptible to the 3rd phase of THE THEORY OF TIME!!! I have personally experienced phases 1 and 2 before.. Luckily not 3.. heh..

Practical application: Disable all forms of communication past 11pm. Only talk to people who you know will not do such things to you. Learn a fake foreign accent. Call screening. Sleep.

Evil Monkeys!!
Watching Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark now. Just realised how smart it is to use monkeys as tools.. Evil monkeys.. no one ever suspects them.. Pirates of the Carribean also has an evil monkey.. Then there's king kong which has a giant monkey.. but small and cute evil monkeys are sneakier.. EVIL MONKEYS!!! BEWARE!!!

The simplest question of all..
Yes or no qns. Seriously.. its the simplest questions. Examples would be like "Do you want to eat?" or "Are you hungry?". This is why in courts of law, they always ask yes or no questions. Straightforward. So how in the blazes did it take me 15 minutes to get an answer out of a person today?!!!?!? It was a simple yes or no question. "We going to watch hitchhiker's guide to galaxy tomorrow at 640pm at tampines mall. Want to come?" 15 minutes of my life!!! ARGH!!!!

Nice Banana Choc Cake
We had high tea and celebrated Paul's b'dae today.. June baked the cake. It was good.. just that banana inside a bit off.. but other than that quite nice.. then Sam taught us the "concentration game" and the "drinking goggles game". Then had bible study. Then went supper. Haha.. its been a long day. ah..

(all this in reference to rampaging pms woman) From talking abt ppl to suddenly ask me if got digicam to recommend.. I need like topic headings in conversations.. and give the facts to me in sound bytes.. heh..

Sorry I haven't posted in ages.. I've been super occupied and just procrastinated everything. Didn't help that I also got my hands on the game Knights of the Old Republic from Paul.. haha.. The Dark side lures me..
Anyway today is the second last day of special semester. Just finished my second essay today. Not really my best works.. just too tired to read through already.
Anyway results came out yesterday and I checked it today after I finished my second essay. Didn't want to affect my morale. Did quite ok. Passed all. Always a good thing.. ah.. now can look forward to enjoying the rest of my holidays.
Quite a far bit has happened since I last blogged. Well maybe lots of minor stuff along the way.. nothing really big that I can remember.
Watched Star Wars 3.. Don't know what other people think of it, but I liked it.. It's a powerful show. It shows how circumstances could possibly lead one down such a dark path. I mean, yeah Anakin was tempted and all.. but if the rest of the good guys had treated him better.. well.. maybe things might have turned out differently. I bet he just wanted someone to talk to and to listen to his problems. And the only person who was willing to was the Emperor.. sigh
