The craziness of it all...
Been listening to Martin's Corrinne May cd. Title of the cd is "Safe in a crazy world". There's also a song in it with that very title. The world is indeed a crazy place. Crap's happening everywhere u look. Lots of stuff hitting the fan. To be able to feel safe in this world.. well its a luxury.

Just celebrated Jonathan Cheah's bday with his CG ppl, Matt's CG ppl and some of my CG ppl.. haha. Lots of food. Basically I just went there to sponge. haha.. oh well. Anyway during the course of the night, had interesting conversation with Matt, Veg and Tai Vie. Basically Tai Vie has a theory which seems logical at first glance.. but breaks down.. (sorry la Tai Vie.. ur theory got flaws.. ) Anyway I can't really say it out here..but if u all interested can ask him or me online and stuff.. its not nice to put it up here... potentially sensitive stuff.. I mean I don't care lah.. people can scold me and stuff.. I don't really care either way.

Then as a result of his theory I came up with my theory. "Don't crap where you eat" theory. Good stuff man. The line sounds cool right? Not thought of by me. It's by Neil Gaiman. It's a line taken from one of the Sandman books. Think its Dollhouse.

Anyway quite on the roll tonight. Managed to get like almost all the people at the dinner table to suan Veg... haha. in under 10 minutes. Not my all time best yet.. Ah... good times..

Well good night and remember ppl, "Don't crap where you eat". It's both metaphorical and literal. For the latter, its basically a hygiene issue...

Long, eventful and tiring day
Physically exhausted. It's been a long week. And its just begin. Will be crunch time for at least the next 3 weeks to come. 3 more presentations. First FYP presentation yesterday. It was ok but wasn't as good as I would have wanted. Realised I broke several of my own rules when it came to presentation. Guess that started when I was told by my supe that the reading I had referred to was not relevent to my project. D'oh!.. Anyway he was quite nice about it and didn't like scold or stuff. He even let me go on explaining..
This opens up a can of worms which is I can't seem to find relevent readings then.. argh..
Anyway drove down to school again today. Had to set out half an hour earlier cause had to find parking and walk from Kent Vale to Biz Ad.. man.. that's one far walk. Anyway after school, went down with Vincent and Soon Hock to go and collect my 5 new silver aros.. Man they are giants. The previous owner going to be posted to China to work so he was getting rid of them. And good price too. Had to catch them from his tank with plastic bags.. Its not easy.. and kinda tiring. But worth it to see the giants swimming in my giant tank.. ah.. simple things in life..

Attack of Foot in mouth Syndrome..
We celebrated Veggie's birthday today. Wasn't a surprise or anything cause from past experience, its hard to plan a surprise party and usually doesn't work and everything goes down the proverbial toilet (might be a physical toilet if you have to flush down a cake.. but .. oh well)
Anyway like I was saying, it wasn't a surprise. I put up the info on my MSN nick and stuff.. Announcing it publicly and widely. Ya.. so it wasn't a surprise. Anyway we went to ECP. Supposed to eat Komalas but then Jonathan couldn't get used to it so we went to Kenny Rogers instead. All of us ate side dishes or salad.. quite sad. hahaha.. But save money lah..
Dinner was hilarious. Veggie put her big foot inside her equally big mouth. Cause we were talking about jobs and stuff. Then I got depressed cause I think my grades are a) sucky b) dunno if can get engineering field job (ok not that I really want to anyway.. but.. I'd like to leave the option open). Anyway then Veggie was saying about how her friend was working at a job that pays 4k to 5k a month. I don't know about you guys, but that's a crap load of money. Then she was saying how she didn't want to take that job cause "it isn't fun". What the... If someone is paying you 4 to 5 thousand, the money can be used to buy fun. It doesn't have to be a source of fun.. But that's just me. So I was saying how dumb she was for turning the job down. At least should take it for a while right. Then at least can earn some money before getting a job you would like right? Then at least can put on your resume also.. Then her exact words to this remark was " I'm not dumb ok, I can take a job that offers 4k to 5k a month but I don't want ok!!!". Then Jocelyn starts laughing. I try hard to repress.. Daryl laughs and so does Jon Chan.. hahaah.. Then I look at her and say.. "Yes.. that's not dumb... hahahahahahahaaha".. Then thru the night we were throwing back the "but I don't want" comment at her.. haha.. *Incidently she was trying to suan me cause I probably won't get this kind of job offer*..

Points to Ponder
It's been a trying week. School's been kicking me around for abit. Slowly getting my bearings. Went for my first FYP training today. YAY I didn't miss it. That's a good thing now.

Anyway stuff from the weekend. Joylyn was sharing during cell about her job and how she had 2 death cases if I'm not wrong the last week. 2 children died. Cancer. Tragic. She said made her think abt her own death. I'm not quite big on death. Not that I'm afraid or anything. I mean if today be my last day, I'm all set. Just that its not good to dwell on such things. It's not healthy. I told her that man she's got lots of stuff in between to look forward to and dwell on those. Like kids and grandkids and us tormenting the kids.. haha.. Anyway Khai mentioned in his blog recently about death too if I remember correctly. But I'm reminded of something Sam shared. That if you found out that you were dying tomorrow and you wouldn't change a single thing you would do, it means u're living life fully (something like that). So yeah.

Moment of Epiphany(spelling?)? Just sitting in front of my computer settling some correspondence and reflecting on some stuff like how we are destined to go thru the same trials over and over again till we clear it. I think I just figured out the way out. I hope so.

Oh yeah.. the most unlikely just happened. I think hell just froze over.. haha.. makes me wish I had taken bets..

Handphone getting..
Have been considering getting a new phone recently cause.. well .. no real reason other than getting a new handphone.. haha. Anyway Dad just asked me also if I wanted a new phone. How odd. He almost never asks such things.. curiouser and curiouser.. anyway was scoping out the Nokia site cause once you've used Nokia, you just can't use other phones. Their interface just stink.. yeah June.. I'm sorry, Motorolla not that good lah.. haha.. sadly you can only use that brand.. heh. Am now deciding btw the 6101 and the 6060. Both look similar enough. 1 has tri-band the other doesn't. So the qns is.. what shall I eat for dinner? :D

Missed my FYP briefing today. In my defence its cause I didn't read my school e-mail acct last night cause I was watching my Condor Heroes dvd.. ok that's a bad defence.. anyway only read the mail this morning at 11-ish and found out the meeting was 1030.. Thankfully my supervisor is really a very nice guy and he said it wasn't a problem.So anyway I have a presentation to do in 2 weeks time on something I know almost nothing about.. Well the stuff I know about it would be enough to fill.. ok wait.. I know nothing abt it. First week of school almost over.. yay.. weekends!!

F'ing pissed...
Everyone give NUS a round of applause.. They've just effectively broken the record. They've screwed me 3 times over before school even started. Usually they only do this to me on the first day of school. This semester they've started early. Their latest escapade? Why the bidding program gave me a module which clashes with the tutorial of another module. What does this mean? This means every monday from 4 to 5.. I have 1 lecture and 1 tutorial going on at the same time.. well done NUS.. I now have to appear at 2 places at once. Probably attend the engine tutorial since its engine and its tougher.. F'in pissed.. laugh it up NUS...

New show to watch!!
Just downloaded a new series to watch. Its called "Wonderfalls". It's coming to Starworld and I would like to say that its a quirky comedy in the vein of Northern Exposure and Dead like Me. Just a heads up for ppl who download tv shows.

Above link leads to an article on how they are looking re-make the horror movie "The Omen". Watched it before. Quite a nice show. Not for those who don't like scary shows with shocks and things that go bump in the night. But basically the advert is asking for the world's creepiest boy to come and audition. Yeah, I 'm sure that will get the parents to come-a-knocking.
Producer: "Yeah, is your kid creepy enough to play the son of satan?"
Parent:" ... eh.. this isn't the audition for harry potter?"
Producer:"...nope..."
Parent:" and I'm guessing this isn't a disney show which will make my child famous so that I never ever have to work again and can sponge off him?"
Producer:"...nope.."
Parent:" ok then. So where do I sign?"

Bottom line, some parent will volunteer their child..
